Promoting Ethics & Honesty
in organisations globally
Whistle Blowers (Pty) Ltd
Whistle Blowers (Pty) Ltd offers a subscribing client a cost effective 24/7/365 highly trained, multi-lingual, manned state of the art call centre which enables client staff to report any irregular activities within an organisation.
These irregular activities could include, but are not restricted to, theft, fraud, bribery, unethical practices and any other unlawful or dishonest activity.
43% OF FRAUD IS UNCOVERED
We have developed a simple, but effective approach whereby we implement a whistleblowing system that is tailor-made to suit the client’s needs and aligns with the company’s culture, which guarantees employee buy-in (acknowledged and supported by most trade unions) and creates easy access to an anonymous “whistleblowing” line.
The initial process is to educate all levels of staff on the mechanics and benefits of the system. During this process, we conduct workshops and presentations to staff within the organisation.
EACH YEAR TO FRAUD
Whistle Blowers has developed an international service, supplying information gathering facilities to organisations in several countries across the globe, with a global footprint in over 25 countries. Meet the Team
Before moving into the private sector, Reg Horne gained thirteen years’ experience in the South African Police Service (SAPS). Reg completed the SAPS Advanced Detective Course and applied his expertise in criminal investigation in the Serious and Violent Crimes Unit. On recognizing the growing demand in the private sector for an investigations service that could fill the gap between the service the SAPS were able to provide, and the service that the market actually needed, Reg established Justicia Investigations in 1992. Reg’s further vision to include role players within an organisation to acknowledge and evaluate their own risk factors, where the honest could be a mechanism to act against the dishonest without fear of reprisal, led to the establishment of Whistle Blowers (Pty) Ltd in 2000. To this day, Reg hand picks call centre personnel and individually trains every operator on interviewing and questioning techniques.

Laurie was born and educated in Harare, Zimbabwe. She immigrated to South Africa and attended Rhodes University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in English and Speech and Drama. Realizing that the world of the Arts was an interest rather than a passion, she entered the commercial world as a Personnel Consultant, managing the Temp Employment division of a large recruitment agency. Finding that her strengths lay in communications and marketing, Laurie entered the office automation industry, managing a Corporate Accounts portfolio for Rank Xerox. She then moved to London, where she worked for one of the larger presentation bureaus, selling computer peripherals for corporate in-house production. Africa’s pull was too great and Laurie returned to Johannesburg three years later, re-entering the recruitment industry to recruit for the IT and Pharmaceutical industries. Wanting a new challenge in her life Laurie decided to make a major change and entered the growing, demanding Security Industry where she sold holistic security solutions for a national security service provider. For the past 14 years Laurie has held the position of Manager: Business Development & Client Liaison for Whistle Blowers and is extensively involved with Whistle Blowers training and implementation.
