Reg HorneReg HorneManaging Director

Before moving into the private sector, Reg Horne gained thirteen years experience in the South African Police Service (SAPS).  Reg completed the SAPS Advanced Detective Course and applied his expertise in criminal investigation in the Serious and Violent Crimes Unit.

On recognizing the growing demand in the private sector for an investigations service that could fill the gap between the service the SAPS were able to provide, and the service that the market actually needed, Reg established Justicia Investigations in 1992.

Reg’s further vision to include role players within an organisation to acknowledge and evaluate their own risk factors, where the honest could be a mechanism to act against the dishonest without fear of reprisal, led to the establishment of Whistle Blowers (Pty) Ltd in 2000.

To this day, Reg hand picks call centre personnel and individually trains every operator on interviewing and questioning techniques.

Laurie-Jean RossClient Liason Manager

Laurie was born and educated in Harare, Zimbabwe. She immigrated to South Africa to attend Rhodes University, where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts, with majors in English and Speech and Drama. Realizing that the world of the Arts was an interest rather than a passion she entered the commercial world as a Personnel Consultant, managing the Temporary Employment division of a large recruitment agency.

Finding that her strengths lay in communications and marketing, Laurie entered the office automation industry, managing a Corporate Accounts portfolio for Rank Xerox.  Laurie relocated to London, where she worked for one of the larger presentations bureaus, selling computer peripherals for corporate in-house production.

Africa’s pull was too great and Laurie returned to Johannesburg three years later, re-entering the recruitment industry to recruit for the IT and Pharmaceutical industries.

Wanting a new challenge in her life in line with her undoubted people skills, Laurie decided to make a major change and entered the growing, demanding Security Industry where she sold holistic security solutions for a national security service provider.

In February 2004 joined Whistle Blowers as Client Liaison Manager, playing a pivotal role in client personnel concept training and implementation.
